my translation for Jakarta is simple. A heaven for the best food on this planet. From dusk to dawn; from road side vendors to 5 stars hotels; it’s easy to find good food than good fresh air. Here are some of my fav eatery in this nirvana :
Nasi Uduk Babe Saman @ Kebon Kacang
Bakmi GM w/ 2 glass of ice tea per person 
in Gado-gado Boplo, but I order soto ayam
rawon, sate ponorogo, pecel madiun @ RM Hadir in Gondangdia
Also Red Pepper in Plaza Indonesia, Pasaraya food court on the basement, Sajian Sunda Sambara @ Cipete Raya.. and many more.. In Jakarta, if you try every meal in different resto/cafe/vendor, you won’t be back @ the same place in a year. Start counting then & enjoy every bite of them..
